I am an ordinary tricycle mudguard, and my mission is to protect the owner of the tricycle from mud and water intrusion. Although I don’t have a glamorous appearance or a prominent position, I have a firm heart that is to protect my master and make his journey more comfortable.
Every day, I accompany my master through busy city streets or bumpy country roads. I have witnessed the joys and sorrows of my master, and also experienced the changes of the four seasons. In spring, I feel the nourishment of the drizzle with my master; In summer, I face the test of the scorching sun with him; In autumn, I accompany him to appreciate the drifting of fallen leaves; In winter, we resist the invasion of cold winds together.
Although my body is hard, my heart is filled with tenderness. Whenever my master encounters muddy roads, I always step forward and use my body to block the splashing mud and water, preventing them from dirtying my master’s clothes. I know, this is my responsibility and also the value of my existence.
Sometimes, I also get hurt. Sharp stones, sharp branches, and even sudden impacts leave marks on my body. But I never complain, because I know that every scar is a medal for me to protect my master.
As time passed, my body began to wear and tear, but I still held onto my post. I know that one day I will be replaced by a new mudguard, but until then, I will continue to fulfill my duties until the very end.
I am a mudguard, ordinary but proud. Because in my life, I have done my best to protect my master and make his journey safer and more comfortable. This is my mission and pride as a mudguard.
